Hello, my name is Donovan and my screen name is Daffy. I'm a Interactive / Digital Designer from Boston, MA. I'm currently looking for a Design Agency for permanant work. I like being able to design and produce a variety of digital content. I am currently a UX/UI designer for Search Pro Systems in Nashua. I've worked with them for over 3 years. I mainly work on Web design projects but I also handle any graphic design request from clients ranging from logos, branding, stationary designs, posters, flyers, advertisements, car wraps, tradeshow items, to many other forms of digital marketing.
In 2020, I graduated from Quinnipiac University in Connecticut with a Bachelor's Degree in Interactive & Digital Design. During the course of my academic career, I managed to accrue over 4 years of work experience taking mostly Branding, Logo, and Flyer Design work where I communicated with clients to create commissioned designs that work best for them. In high school, I took jobs creating posters for school and church events, and making logos or banners for my gaming friends. I also worked at Stop & Shop in a Customer Service Associate role during the weekends, where I learned valuable professional skills such as customer communications, customer satisfaction, and customer service. I also had the privilege of working temporarily for the Massachusetts Water Resource Authority where I collected, organized, and delivered mail to employees. I printed labels for time-sensitive mail, packages, and invoices for the companies partners. I also handled employee car usage data and performed routine car maintenance and check-up. In both my academic and professional life, I have been consistently praised as determined, focused, and persistent by my professors and co-workers. I would say my weaknesses are that I'm quiet and I tend to have 'tunnel vision' while I concentrate on my work. I am looking to improve my skills within the design world. Whether working on academic, extracurricular, or professional projects, I apply proven design thinking, problem-solving, and software skills to my projects. I take criticism well and seriously, and I value constructive feedback on my designs. I am a quick learner and anything that I am not familiar with, I am willing to learn.
My hobbies include skateboarding, video games, anime, listening to music, playing guitar, art, and youtube. I also have interests in Space & Physics (Science is my favorite subject, although a bit difficult for me in practice, like math). My favorite games at the moment are Genshin Impact, Minecraft, Sekiro, Marvel Rivals, and Skate. My Favorite game character at the moment is Xinyan. My favorite skateboard trick is the Heelflip. I'm currently learning backside tailslides, one of my dream tricks. My favorite animes are So I'm a Spider, So What? or Overlord. Konosuba and Sword Art Online are have also been favorites for me. My favorite music artist is Sewerperson. The music genres I like are all over the place and random but include, Emo Rap, Alternative Rock, Hyper-Pop, Hip-Hop, Rock, Metal, Screamo, Dubstep, Drum & Bass, Instramentals, Electronic, and chiptune/8-bit. I'm working on designing t-shirt and skateboard merch for fun.
