What Is AI Machine Learning
The Beginning
This was a project I worked on in August 2022. A time where I still considered myself a recent hire to the company. The boss tasked me with the creation of a Motion Graphic based on the audio they provided to help clients understand the AI portion of our marketing program. They gave me a week deadline of in-office and at-home overtime which was a bit tasking to handle with the current projects at the time. In the moment, I considered the best way to get the project done quickly was through typography and simple flat graphics. Now, I wish I used more real footage and found better ways to convey information based on the context of the audio.
Improvements
For a video this long under a tight time constraint, trying to keep a viewer engaged is tough. One thing that I wish I had done more of is background motion. Background design elements might boost the look of the video. Also, transitioning between colors and thinking in terms of slides may make the video more digestible (easier to follow along).
About the Website
I worked on the redesign for Search Pro about 6 months after I started, which was early for me. I still felt like I hadn't settled in the company. There is so much that I feel I could do better now. Not only do I have a better understanding of the company, I also have a better understanding of what the development team is capable of and of what I am able to design for them.
Previous Iterations
Here are some screenshots of the previous versions. One thing that I need to practice more is working on a design with no imagery. Although, I did not know if I was going to be supplied photography for this project. The text & images are usually provided after I have finished the mockups. Not ideal for me but gotta work with what I got.
