About the Project
La Vaka is a authentic restaurant serving mexican cuisine. One of the few clients that provided their logo and had some branding guidelines made. I created the website mockup and improved on their branding guidelines. I also recreated some of their design elements. The menu items / page design is one of my favorite creations. Because I had photography to use (which I usually dont have at the start of designing), I was able to make both the menu items on the homepage and the menu page visually appealing / engaging in the mockup. I also think it's nice for food companies to have an image of as many of their dishes as possible. When I have the imagery beforehand, i'm able to make cut-outs in photoshop of their actual meals which I believe helps customers way more than looking at stock imagery.
